Home Planar Speaker Asylum

Welcome! Need support, you got it. Or share your ideas and experiences.

Hey you guys, ...

....maybe y'all should get a room ...or a ring down at the local gym. Just teasin', we're all friendly inmates here! :0)

FTR, all I was trying to do was share a little info on my experience with 3.7i Maggies, perhaps discuss room acoustics, source gear that works extremely well for me and provide reviews/comparisons of two stellar amps that I've found to work exceedingly well with these speakers.

The Magtech puts out 900 wpc into a 4 Ohm load (damping factor of 600, if memory serves), ...and the Wyred4Sound SX-1000R monoblocks can output over 1100 wpc into a 4 Ohm load. Rox Both amps are stable down to two Ohms. I could recommend either without reservations. Both are technically muscle amps, but it will require over 60lbs of muscle to heft the solidly designed Magtech. Conversely, at around 12lbs each, the SX-1000R monos won't be adding to your chiropractor's bills.

Bud-duh, bud-duh, bud-duh, that's all folks! ...for now anyway.

Cheers,
AuPh
