Good point.

Very true about the .7 Maggies. That doesn't prevent owners from experimenting, ...it just makes the efforts more complicated. I can understand the appeal of earlier designs to hobbyists, even though DIY experimentation isn't everybody's cuppa. I guess for some folks even stock Maggies are musical nirvana. I've neither the skill nor desire to reinvent a well designed wheel, even if I had the engineering chops to turn my speakers into formula 4 racers.

That said, I'm not opposed to elective surgeries (non-invasive tweaks) that produce more than cosmetic benefits. For instance, the addition of Mye stands provides speaker frame rigidity which improves bass tightness and allows tilting adjustment not available through standard feet. These should be a no-brainer for Maggie owners as these require only a modest investment and relatively easy installation.
