At least

he finally figured out the concept of coherence after fifty years of speaker design!

From his page:

"Why is it that this new term of coherence is not understood?"

It was well understood for decades by many designers and listeners. Count me as one who found himself sensitive to that aspect of speaker performance from my late teen years.

"Although the XR250 was unquestionably the best sound at the time..."

Delusionary thinking as to the state of the art in 1991. :)

While hearing tri-amped Tympani IIIs was the first watershed moment in my path of audio awareness, the next experience of hearing JWC's Dayton-Wright XG-8s two years later introduced me to coherence and there was no turning back. Despite the limitations of a single pair, I was immediately captivated by their ability to sound completely cohesive. I can easily recall many happy memories of hearing some of the good doctor's favorites from that era - the Beroff version of Prokofiev Piano Concertos and A Little Night Music .
