Hi
Well it's a nice dream. All manufacturers sell in $USD to their dealer network and the prices are adjusted accordingly in the Canadian market.
So there would be no advantage at all - Canadian Manufacturers could take advantage of this differential the other way with hopefully greater commerce and volume if the goods were priced in Canadian Dollars- the $USD however is the standard of trade for most manufacturing in NA.
Those of us north of the border will again have to deal with higher costs for manufactured goods, produce. Our good friends south will enjoy the advantage for some time until oil and commodity prices rise again.
