RE: What amplifier to drive 3.7i?

First is the issue of bracing. You can get more low end out of the speaker at the same power when they are braced with Mye stands.

Second is whether you use subwoofers. If you do then the power requirement goes down substantially and a 2-300W/4ohm amp should do just fine for even "real event" volume levels.

If your listening preference is for very loud playback then you would want a Magtech or the bigger W4S 1000 models. Or the bigger Classe monoblocks or Sunfire 600, or the Spetron Musician or one of the new Hypex N core amps. Something rated near 1000W @4 ohms. If budget is seriously limited then Pro audio amps give more power bang for your buck and the recent ones sound ok and the better ones sound good.
