If you get close enough to a Maggie, you'll hear the top on one side and mid/bass on the other. It takes a little distance for those to blend properly.
Similarly, to split hairs there are "full range electrostats" and "electrostats that operate full range". Examples of the former are Stax, Sound Lab, earlier Acoustats, Dayton-Wright, and original Martin-Logan CLS. Essentially every square inch of radiating area operates full range. Moving your ear across the panel at close distance doesn't affect the tonal response. Others, however, like Quads, JansZen, King Sound, Martin-Logan CLX, KLH 9, Koss, and all the hybrids use dedicated "tweeter" and "woofer" sections employing a crossover.
