But I do have the 550k's powering Revel Salon 2's. They are excellent mono blocs. The ratings that MF gives for them are at lower distortion levels than the standard 1%THD. They actually are closer to 650 watt @8 ohm, 850 watt @ 4, and 1000 watt @2ohms. Excuse me, but these are WELL designed amps as anyone can see from John Atkinson's measurements. I use them as a supercharger with 2 different tube amps and also as an ordinary amplifier via the line level inputs. They are fun to play with! By the way, I bought them new about 5 years ago and only paid $2500 for them.
