RE: Ribbons for MMG's...even worth considering?

With the right mods can the performance of the quasi-ribbon be brought up to the level of a true ribbon? (no but it can get close) Can the quasi ribbon be kept in the complement and crossed over lower so the ribbon handles only the very HFs, essentially turning the MMG into a 3-way? (sure, but difficult and expensive)

I am strongly considering going with active mult-amplification for the modded MMG's and need only the active xover to do this.

I suggest either get a set of 3.x's, or, mod the heck out of the MMG's. I bit the bullet and did full Razor, active x-over, and biamplification. It is some work and expesne, but the results are outstanding. With no passive components in the way, the quasi-ribbon really sings. I'm really not sure how much better a passive-crossover true ribbon would be, if at all. Maybe other Inmates with direct experience can weigh in.
