Amp for Quad 57

Until I order and install clamping boards for my treble panels in my Quad 57's, may I still use a 60-70 wpc amplifier at VERY low volumes, without fear of arcing the panels? The serial numbers on my 57's are in the 45000 range, so I am sure there are no factory clamping circuits.
