Years ago, I was going to spend about $400 on an all out DIY box speaker project. Then I found out for that price I could buy a pair of used Audiophile speakers (MMG's) that were so good, I'd never have to tweak 'em to sound better. When I got the MMG's I found out both fuses were blown. I was about to slap in whatever fuses I could find and I found this place and read about "bypassing" the fuses as a way to improve the sound. REALLY! A free tweak? Then I began to find out how easy other mods could be done. I've never considered anything I've done as fixing flaws, but I have increased the already great performance these speakers give.
