DR, I see your point. I think the way PG states things draws more fire than anything else. I never percieved my MMG's or MG2.5's as flawed in stock form. They did have limitations and sound characteristics that were improved through modding. Much like installing better tires on your car for better handling.

Some people find it hard to get a grip on "how" you say something can be as important as "what" you're saying. Some of the replies to PG's posts do seem to take the form of "piling-on". The comment of "frames that look like varnished boat rails" comes to mind. Interestingly enough, when you read through the Magnestand website, PG comes across as a much nicer fellow.

The Magnestand mods really don't need to be hyped as the way to fix Maggies. Some people like the way older model Maggies sound and some like the way the newer models sound. As many here have found out, properly modded, these great speakers can be made to sound even better.
