Still trying to figure out exactly what you've got there. The statement "pushing clean current through an el-cheapo sub crossover" seems confusing. Does the Sony sub have a built in amp or not?
Also, the B&K pre-amp seems to be the one if you want to have the option to expand into multi-channel surround sound.
