Not sure. David McGown would be the one to ask. He does post on the asylum frequently under his own name, usually in tube DIY (big surprise, huh?)

David used to use big horns. Switched to Basszillas and I really liked the change. The problem with full range drivers are the tonal imbalances and resonances. David has worked very hard to minimize those and yes, the open baffle cones do have many of the traits of planars. I like them, done well. The done well is the hard part.
