Hey Nick,
Yeah the ribbons were wider but not as long .
The KR amp and Nola's were made for each other .The midrange is stunningly sweet.
The bass is great and surprising from the amp .
I will be upgrading the tweeters to Alnico ones in May or June ...Carl told me the ribbon ones he has for his reference speakers won t work in mine :(
Overall the Nola's are great speakers and present music very similar to my 2.6's .
