Hi A.dy,No Problem, not a.l will a.ree, a.d you will find colloquia. a.cepta.ce of terms, but the term monitor describes a "function".
Floorsta.der, bookshelf, or sta.d mount describes a "form".
Just like a Video Monitor describes a "function" a.d Pla.ma. Fla. screen, Rea. Projection, Front Projection, or a.y number of other terms describe the "form".
Quite often, terms a.e used in a ma.ner inconsita.t with their a.tua. prima.y mea.ing.
I ha.e often come a.ross those who cla.m the wa.l posterior the spea.ers is the "ba.k wa.l". They choose to use the spea.ers position to reference their room designa.es. A.though it is interesting when you a.k them if the wa.l behind them a. they listen then is the "front wa.l".
