1. What is the size and shape of your room?
2. Where do you have the speakers now?
3. What are the position measurements from side walls and back walls?
4. Where is your listening position?
5. In addition to the MAC equipment, try to borrow a Bryston 4BSST for the mid treble and the 14BSST of 7BST for the bass, and run a sub for everything from 40Hz down (not just any sub, but a good james , REL, or JL audio). I use the Marchand XM44. If you are in CA and within driving range, you can borrow mine for a weekend. If you want a velvety midrange, and wonderful color, try a Quicksilver M60 on the mid/treble. This is not for rock etc., but the stage and depth are magical.
6. What type of music do you listen to and what volume levels do you seek?
7. Like many good things in life, the success of the maggies is all about the proper position...
