Doesn't the choke in parallel with a 1-2 ohm resistor totally defeat the point of the choke? The resistor always provides a low impedance path for the RF we got the choke for in the first place. I can see this combo is a frequency-dependent impedance that increases as frequency, and thus attenuates the higher audio frequencies a bit more...not bad in itself if that's what you want to do, but useless for RF blocking. Now, I could see a choke in series with a (choke || resistor) that would do both: block RF and give a nice slope to the high freq audio attenuation.BTW, I've had my 1.6s for ~10 years and have never done any of this stuff. I just got some 5522s and Caddocks recently (the stock 1.2 ohms Magnepan included were "too much" for me) so will be trying a few things soon. I was going to try 0.5 ohms possibly in series with 10uH, but 10uH || 1 ohm might be more suitable as RF isn't really a problem and I only want a tiny bit of HF attenuation.
