The Hovland caps are a bit of a mixed thing. I have heard them in some systems and they sound great, but in others, they can be a bit hot and bright. They are like any other cap, must fin into the circuit properly. I would prefer Mundorf S, SO, SGO, Jantzen's, and the Obligato are said to be great, but I haven't heard them yet. Look up humble homemade HIFI for a review of caps and get one persons experience. Jallen
