I followed the Magnepan recommendations and they have worked out fine.
High pass 200Hz 6dB/octave
Low pass 250Hz 18dB/octave
Sub crossed over at 80Hz for the james 1500.
The speaker works above 80Hz, and there is a seamless transition.
The Xover gives the ability to fine tune the system. On CD, I run the Xover minus 3dB in the bass, and flat in vinyl as there is little info on vinyl below 50Hz.
You can experiment with other options and modules as some have recommended here in these pages if you desire. I like the factory setings so far.
