I have compared the XM26, Ashley, and XM44 Xover and the XM44 was easily the winner. The improvement in sound with the biamp option is not subtle. If you like any volume, then the biamp version is the way to go. The XM44 is colorless, quiet, and easy to assemble. I just did 3 of them, 2 for friends, one for me. Plan on a couple of full days.
