I had a pair of the V4 with maggie 3.6 and they needed silver speaker cable and interconnect, like Quicksilver's own. I used silver jumpers, and JJ KT88's gave the best sound. I also used Winged C tubes which are excellent.
The speakers should really come alive with these amps, they are truely great. I compared these amps with the 500wpc Bryston 7BST and the V4's easily outperformed them on Aerial 10T also. They are as inefficient as Maggies. Incidently, the bass was better with the tubes....fuller, deeper, more body.
