Your assumptions are basically correct. I have IVs. They are 72" x 16" per panel (if I remember correctly). It's fun to tell unsuspecting guys, who brag about their 15" woofers, that my speakers are 6' tall and 8' wide. I love the looks on their faces.

To verify the area I'd have to measure. I'll try to remember later when I'm home.
