RE: What maggies do well...

The top of the bass is great with my 3.6, but for the real strong bass, the foundation, I use a James EMB 1500....real impressive, as was the 1200 the even the small 1000. I cross over at about 55hz and it is very seamless. The amp with the maggie is critical. I found the Quicksilver silver mono to have higher qulaity bass than the Bryston 7BST. They like high voltage tubes.
