My MG1.6s are asymmetric

I got out the flashlight and tape measure. I measured the following distances in inches from the top of the speaker to each tuning disk.

MG1.6 left: 8.25, 19.25, 28.5
MG1.6 right: 8.25, 19.25, 31.5

Only the bottom tuning disk is different. This arrangement makes a great deal of sense.

The top two disks (smaller panel area = higher resonance frequency) need to be the same on left and right otherwise the stereo imaging would drift off-center.

The bottom disk (larger panel area) probably controls resonances low enough in frequency not to affect imaging.
