with an ARC D-250 tube amp (250w/c) with excellent results. Combining with the Sonic Frontiers SFL2 pre the sound is truly holographic when listening to excellent recordings by Sheffield Labs and or by Mobile Fidelity. Although right now I’m relegating the Thiel to my dedicated home theater, room front channels duties with excellent results also driven by an Adcom 555 power amp.In my 2-channel dedicated listening room the Thiel has been replaced by Martin Logan Quest speakers, again the ARC D-250 is driving it. The sound I heard from them are very different from Thiels, as I have expected. Glorious midrange and excellent bottom end it helps when it’s being augmented by a Genesis reference 15†power sub coupled with just the right highs. The sound stage is wide and deep of which it energized the room to the point that simulates a live concert venue.
