Re: AR LS 16 MkII & Bryston 4B SST good match for 3.6R?

I use an ARC LS 16 MkII with my 3.6's and I really like what it does.
Previously tried Classe'DR5, ARC SP-14, and Melos SHA-1 line stages. The DR5 had a fuller mid and upper bass but was a bit wooden in the midrange. The Sp-14 linestage was more harmonically alive but not as three dimensional as the DR5. The Melos was pretty neutral but it was not good enough to displace the DR5. The LS 16 MkII had the liveliness of the SP-14 and the three dimensionality of the DR5. Both the SP-14 and the DR5 would get harsh if the volume is high in my system. The LS 16 does not lose its composure at higher volumes. It is also very neutrally balanced and I think is very well matched to the 3.6.

I have not heard the Bryston in my system. My amp is a Classe'25.
