Re: Tube amps too slow for electrostatic speakers or not?

Heck no! Tubes and 'stats can play nice together. I have ML SL3 with a Sonic Frontiers 50w amp. Much smoother, much less bright, much more listenable than sand amps. At least, better than the cheapo amp I used before. And, I might add, better than I have heard MLs sound in other setups even with pricey SS.

Tubes put meat on the bones and flesh out the music. There's a feeling of weight to the sound that was not there before. Where once the sound was thin and threadbare, it now is liquid and rich.

Seems to me to be a match made in heaven...
