Agreed. How some ever, I have found phenomenal integration between the cones and 'stats of my Ascents by using identical tube amps for the panels and the woofers - the hot ticket for me was using a passive attenuator to slightly turn the woofer amps down, but they were factory biased hotter anyway. On really bright or thin recordings, I just boost the woofer amps a bit, and hello warmth, and musicality.Not the last word in slam or tight tight bass, but wayy good sounding!
