I've found that tubes and Martin Logans can sound incredible as long as the tube amp has enough power/current to drive the speakers. Tubes are certainly fast enough and can sound more life like then ss. But, they need enough guts to match a tough speaker load. I've heard the Wolcott's on the Soundlabs, albiet a different load then the ML's, and they sounded great!
