I didn't say because I was still listening. Still am, in fact.
Basically, I'm hearing what Satie described -- extraordinarily wide soundstage with great layering. Also very palpable voices in the center. Sort of like good three channel, but not quite. At its best it's spooky and jaw dropping, but most of the time it seems to fall just short of greatness, because they're still too close to the front wall -- about 6', which following the angular path is about a 14 ms delay on the first reflection when I need 20.
So very promising but not quite there, for that and other reasons (no treatment on rear wall, room a bit too live in the midrange, etc.).
It's going to be hard to go to bed!
