Getting the room (entire house) to pressurize is not a problem with the addition of the rotary subwoofer and
the Magneplanar Tympani's. At the levels I use, low bass is so very exciting, one can feel and hear
bass transients that emulate the real thing (best example is a loud thunder clap). I only use half
of the capabilities of the rotary and these levels are not so excessive that I worry about damaging
my hearing. Producing low bass transients is the most difficult area for subwoofers to replicate,
and that is where the rotary excels. So this is my opinion is on chest thump ( requires
a huge amount of air that decays very rapidly and response down to dc. Dissipating this low
bass also requires a lot of bass trapping and other means to get truly accurate low bass.
Once again I am not talking about levels that rock stars listen to or in night clubs (that in my
opinion is crazy (booming bass in car as well) but low bass transients that decay very rapidly.
