I agree, as when I'm jamming with my sons....

We always wear the earplugs, especially if we cover the "Comfortably Numb" song by PF as my son loves to let his Eric Clapton Signature Series Fender Guitar ripped on the over drive during the guitar solo a la David Gilmour.

With regards to my extensive experienced with MG 20.1 speakers, trust me they do make your chest thumped physically if fed by the equipment that I've mentioned in my OP while listening to recordings that have a lot of percussion such as the Hotel California, also with Patricia Barber's recordings such as Nardis, Crash and the drum recording from Sheffield Lab recording label.
