I'm going through that same process of rediscovering all my CDs. I've had my 1.6s about three weeks now and they can be brutally revealing of a poor recording and a good one can just blow your mind. I have especially enjoyed my Acoustic Alchemy CDs. Also discs by Open Door and Brian Culbertson. I've also have a Fidelity Sound Labs version of Pink Floyd's The Wall and it sounds scary good on the Maggies. Just when you thought you have heard all there is to hear on a recording there can still be more. Two more discs I keep coming back to are Close Your Eyes and See and Link by the Norwegian artist Oystein Sevag. His stuff is really layered and complex and just sounds amazing on my Maggies. Last but not least my all time favorite artist is Eric Johnson. His albums are not what I would call the best recordings ever but they do sound the best I heard them on the Maggies. Especially Ah Via Musicom and Alien Love Child.
Fun isn't it?
