RE: At what frequency was the meter set for

Radio Shack meters don't have "frequency settings." They measure the entire audio band, all the time. No way to set it for "midrnage only" - or anything like that.

They DO offer "A" weighting, I think, or "unweighted" response. See the link re: "A" weighting, but set the meter to "unweighted" for measuring speakers. The weighting is good for ambient noise testing, etc but not really what we want when we measure speakers.
