I believe the comparisons while interesting have little value.
From what it appears it is like comparing apples to oranges so
to speak. The ET while being suplimented with a bass driver is
trying to acheive majority of it's response with a planar
driver, like the Maggie, a large surface area driving the air.
This new system I would not categorize as a planar but a dynamic
system with an extended ribbon system. It appears the mid bass
as well as bass are handled by a dynamic driver. This type of
system like the Carver is interesting but not my cup of tea.
I love my ET's as well as the Maggie's I have heard. It is just
a different sound, wave launch, with the later that I love. As
mention check out some of the best systems built bar none,
Wisdom Audio, their systems can cost in excess of $600,000
and are all planar....
