Magnapan Quasi Vs. True Ribbon

The true ribbon membrane is lighter, which, theoretically, is an an advantage, with no downside. But, having now heard the newer lower-end Maggies extensively, and long ago owned the 3.7i, I am wondering if the necessity of going three-way, with another passive crossover in the signal path, might negate the advantage of the true ribbon treble - especially if one were going to actively cross the smaller speaker to bass modules (around 100Hz), keeping excursion low.

Anyone care to opine on the delta between quasi-ribbon and true ribbon treble quality? 10%? 50%? Un-quantifiable (like all things high-end)?

(The LRS+ sounds so good, even on its own, I'm wondering if Maggie has now gotten close to the Quad ESL 63 level of detail.

Yes, the ESL has no crossover at all, but it does have both the delay mechanism and the step-up transformers in the signal path.

I will likely be comparing the two at home soon.)
