RE: all of them wired in parallel - yes

Every original Quad should be equipped with the protection circuit this will prevent arcing no matter the output of the amp. Cheap, easy to install and has no sonic impact. Kind of a no brainer.

The impedance at 100Hz is well above 2 ohms more like 30-40 ohms. It is at 20kHz that it drops to 1.9 ohms as I recall. Its impedance curve is the typical electrostatic roller coaster.

Maximum SPL is well above 88dB if working properly. We easily achieve 100dB levels C-weighted. Stack them 4 high? We are in horn territory in terms of maximum SPL and efficiency.

The bump at 80-90Hz is quite small perhaps a couple dB. It will of course be compounded when stacking just one of several reasons why I not a fan of stacking. Pluses for sure when stacking but also some minuses. No free lunch here.
