A resistor in series with a dynamic driver will definitely make a difference...in the bass, mainly.
Does the bassist sound like he/she is on downers or speed?
Does the bass get faster, or slower?
Does the bass lose or gain definition?
Does the bass lose or gain depth in terms of frequencies??
If none of the above, then what difference are you talking about?
