Did someone say BRIGHT ?
The Speakerlab product got better after Mile Nesterovich got there, but it was never as good as the commercial aqvailiable competition.
Now, Mile's own speakers, thats a different story!
So, my old acoustat 8's are still alive, huh ?
Thats good!
If I had a large enough room, i would love to own them again.
Correct about Speaker Factory, most of their kits were junk, but the Corner horns I bought from them were all assembled, and I got em cheap too.
I modified them to my tastes, and damped the mid/tweet horns with rope caulk, and replaced the caps with Siderals, remember them ?
I finally woundup with oil filled caps I found for the tweeters.
I went into the compression drivers, unscrewed the domes, and added some damping for the rear wave.
This , plus the SET amps, made em highly listenable.
