I owned them, years ago, bought em brand new from Definitive Audio in Seattle.
I was very unfamiliar with dipole radiators then, and just owned a single Hafler 500, not the worlds best amp, for sure.
I was just coming off of horns then, Speaker Factory {remember them} corner horns driven with Western Electric SET amps.
I really never gave the big maggies a chance, took em back and exchanged em for B&W 801 F's.
Kept the 801's for a while, went to Quad 63's, etc, etc, etc.
I still feel I have "unfinished business" with big Maggies, and constantly look for big Tympany maggies that are for sale here locally.
I really enjoyed my recent MG3A's, until delamination ended their life.
If I could have that sound, with more dynamic "slam" , I might could be a happy camper...... for a while, LOL.
Is there any end to audio addiction ??
