I once auditioned a pair of Scintillas for about 3 minutes. That's how long ot took a massive Nakamichi amp (don't remember the model, but I'm pretty sure it was a Nelson Pass design) to give up the ghost. I know nothing about their other speakers, but I'd say calling the Scintilla a difficult load is an understatement.
