Had a Bryston 4bst previously and by comparison the Bryston sounded a bit 'sterile' (although still musical) compared to the Rowland.
The Rowland 5 does have a reputation for being a bit 'laid and not as fast as a Bryston. But it can definetly man-handle Maggies.
What it cannot do however is slice through the infamous 'veiling' Maggies are known for on occasion (I say 'on occasion' because some recordings can sound quite 'opaque' whereas others-the vast majority in fact, can sound spectacularly crystaline).
