RE: Gee those basses look familiar...

There's no way I'm going to be able to match some of the master piece boxes that have been posted on the forum, unless I take some courses at Woodcraft.

But I do have a Porter Cable Dovetail jig that I bought for a one-time job to rebuild a drawer. Figured I could make a box out of oak, with dovetails, and coat with Howard Feed-N-Wax (amazing stuff). Hopefully it will have sort of a butcher-block look, to match.

I have a bunch of frames already made up and stuffed with Owens Corning 703, for corner bass traps and sidewall absorbers. The day I brought home the 703, I threw some of the raw stuff in the corners. You're right, the bass improvement was jaw dropping.

The reason they haven't been finished is because I am clueless as to what "color scheme" to cover them with. Calling Candice Olson...
