Your photos clearly explain everything. I will definitely do a half razor on my Frankenpans (or maybe 3/8ths? :-)) ) ... but I have 3 questions:
1. You appear to still have MDF frames? Maaaate, you gotta get wood! Then your "razoring" will really come into its own!! :-))
2. What do the " strips of rope caulk in the gap between the driver frame and the MDF " do?
Putting Dynamat on the metal driver frame makes sense but the rope caulk doesn't (well, to my tiny brain it doesn't! :-)) ).
3. Why not put the Dynamat/Cascade on the horizontal reinforcing bars as well?
