I have never listened to the 2.6's so I can't say if biamping would be a good idea or not but I'm sure Mart can add his 2 cents. Looking at the schematic for the crossover a fair amount of modification needs to be done to actively biamp -- you would have to remove all the caps and coils from the circuit but leave the 2 ohm resistor in series with the tweeter since the impedance is only 1.45 ohm and you probably will fry your amplifier without the resistor. My guess is that you would be better off upgrading the caps and coils, eliminating the jumpers and fuses and putting the whole thing in an external box.

I may be an egoist but at least I don't talk about other people.
