Now you see why I said it was confusing. With A/C power from your house panel you can put a 20 amp breaker on a 12 gauge line and a 15 amp breaker on a 14 gauge. Then you are only suppose to load the circuit 80% of the breaker rating. I never could understand how a amplifier rated at so many amps (100+) wouldn't melt the speaker wires, blow the speakers or both!
