You have to try both configurations because some amps just can't handle a reactive short in a region they don't even operate. Strange but true. So, you simply try which configuartion you prefer because while some amps don't particularly like a reactive short in the MHz region it won't harm them under short term use & prolonged exposure may but the sound will be s-o-o-o-o obviously distasteful which will prevent you from choosing it.
