Tea O'Clock in San Leandro

Our boba adventures continue...

There's a Tea O'Clock in San Leandro, CA. That is the town just south of Oakland. On E. 14th in the downtown area, this store is a hole-in-the-wall. You most likely will have to take your drink(s) outdoors.

Some staff seems to be of high school age. Nevertheless, every time we've gone, staff has been patient and friendly. Some even told us to taste the drink first, before deciding whether to mix or not.

You can order online. If you stand in line, you may have to squint in order to read the menus.

Tea O'Clock does offer the wide range of milk tea, fruit tea, regular tea, and smoothies.

Hmmm, the cup on your left says "San Francisco."

Tea O'Clock uses real ingredients, so the taste and texture may vary. The smoothies are on the thin side. And the drinks tend to be fragrant, rather than sweet. The agar boba is not as crunchy as, say Boba Bliss. But it's still very good.

The regular boba may not be the best , but again, is still quite good.

Be warned that Tea O'Clock does not have non-dairy substitutes, such as soy milk.

Yes, most drinks allow you to adjust sweetness and ice levels. And many are available hot or cold.

Overall, Tea O'Clock is a bit pricey. But if you like your drinks to use real ingredients, this is a favorite.
