Holmes is currently involved in some lawsuits in Canada regarding some poorly designed and built homes there.

As I understand it, he'd allowed a builder to use his name in association with a new neighborhood of homes built by that third party in Canada. Some (at least) of the homes had to be essentially demolished and rebuilt because of poor design and or poor/faulty construction. People claim they relied upon Holmes endorsement when making their purchase decisions, and are seeking restitution.

So at least guilt by association.
