Please don't take this as an invitation to move to Texas, but my supply retailer charges me 6.6 cents per kw hour. I mean, you can come if you want to, but bring your own water, air and electricity.
That 6.6 cents does not include the transmission fees or taxes, but figuring they have at least 50% GM on that 6.6 cents, that says they are buying electricity wholesale from producers at 3.3 cents. So don't judge the entire electric market by the more than f'd up situation in Cali.
